Gwen O’Looney served two terms as Mayor/CEO of Athens. Among her many accomplishments are unifying the city and county governments, opening The Classic Center and Lyndon House, and hosting the 1996 Olympics and “Panic in The Streets” album release by Widespread Panic. Today, she hosts “Lunch With Gwen” every Thursday at noon on WXAG 92.7 FM and is a panelist on WUGA’s “News Matters.” Radio. Her many volunteer roles include RSL Advisory Board and Friends of the Library!
